Waypoint CrossFit Kids is Gig Harbor’s first CrossFit specific program for children ages 3-17 years.  Darius and Regina are both CrossFit Kids Instructors and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth in the Gig Harbor community. Being the parents of three girls ages 9, 7 and 3, they understand how busy households can be and how parents want great results for their children.The kids program is challenging, fun, competitive and supportive. The concept of team work and encouragement are emphasized throughout the workouts and they are specifically tailored to the various age groups. All athletes ages 3-17 who become members of Waypoint CrossFit will be in classes with other children their own age and skill level, not with adults. We feel strongly that children should only be trained in CrossFit by CrossFit Kids Trainers, as they have received specific instruction on how to safely teach CrossFit movements to children.


Waypoint CrossFit focuses on building strength through fundamentals, simply put we will not allow your child to perform a skill with weights involved until we know they can do so safely and with good form. The goal of  Waypoint CrossFit Kids is to get children moving properly by performing functional movements they use in everyday life and making those movements safe and fun.

Children and teens have a great opportunity to maximize their physical skills when exposed to a combination of gymnastics, body-weight calisthenics, and weight lifting during years of peak development. These elements are combined to keep children engaged, and entertained, while teaching them proper movement mechanics and creating a broad athletic foundation.

Classes are broken down by age, skill-level, and maturity.
