About

Waypoint Kids and Teen program is Gig Harbor’s first CrossFit specific program for children ages 8-16 years.  Darius and Regina are both CrossFit Kids Instructors and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth in the Gig Harbor community. The kids program is challenging, fun, competitive and supportive. The concept of team work and encouragement are emphasized throughout the workouts and they are specifically tailored to the various age groups. All athletes are in classes with other children their own age and skill level, not with adults.

Safety

Waypoint focuses on building strength through fundamentals, simply put we will not allow your child to perform a skill with weights involved until we know they can do so safely and with good form. The goal of  Waypoint Kids is to get children moving properly by performing functional movements they use in everyday life and making those movements safe and fun.

CrossFit is one of the best ways to add speed and strength to a young athlete while helping to prevent injury. Please take a moment to read through this article on injury prevention. CrossFit Journal: Injury Prevention
